Day 3 - Celebrating Women in Franchising - Inspirational quotes

It's day 3 of our week of celebrating women in franchising!

We've previously heard from Emma Falco on her business journey and Patsy Day shared her franchising success while being a Mum of 2 teenagers.

Franchising is good for women on so many levels.

Our female franchisees love the flexibility, the chance to be mistress of their own destiny, the levels of support they receive, and the opportunity to be part of a community of like-minded people who collaborate rather than compete.

Women are great at networking and that is another reason why the thrive within the franchise model.

We've put together some inspiring quotes from famous women to encourage new females into business:

Many women live like it’s a dress rehearsal. Ladies, the curtain is up and you’re on.” -- Mikki Taylor, Essence Magazine.

"I learned to always take on things I'd never done before.  Growth and comfort do not co-exist". -- Ginni Rometty, IBM

"I always did something I was a little not ready to do. I think that’s how you grow. When there’s that moment of ‘Wow, I’m not really sure I can do this,’ and you push through those moments, that’s when you have a breakthrough.
-- Marissa Mayer, Walt Disney

"Walt Disney told his crew to ‘build the castle first’ when constructing Disney World, knowing that vision would continue to serve as motivation throughout the project. Oftentimes when people fail to achieve what they want in life, it’s because their vision isn’t strong enough.” – Gail Blanke, President and CEO, Lifedesigns

"My philosophy is that not only are you responsible for your life but doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.” – Oprah Winfrey, Broadcaster

"If people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can no longer hear them". -- Michelle Ruiz, President Ruiz Strategies

There's never been a better time for women to consider franchising!

Belvoir M.D., Dorian Gosalves commented:

"With 30% of the UK's 40,000 franchises owned and operated by women, which is almost twice the ratio of women who own small independently operated businesses, it's clear than franchising offers the flexibility and rewards to talented females who prefer to be their own boss.

Many of our best and most successful franchise owners, and staff, are female which is due, in part, to the fact that a career in the property industry has such a wide appeal whether the person is male or female, young or old.

In a service based industry, such as one we operate in, our product is our service and our service is delivered by our people. There is nothing more important than having a well motivated, highly skilled, caring and responsible team of people within each Belvoir office. Our female franchisees have proven time after time that you certainly don't have to be male to operate a successful Belvoir franchise at the very highest level".
