Belvoir prides itself on providing a specialist three-week induction course for new franchise owners. During your first year of trading all new franchise owners are provided with specialist 1-2-1 mentoring to ensure that your business runs smoothly.
Do I need previous experience in Lettings?
Only 2% of our franchisees were ever Letting agents before they joined Belvoir .. our 25% of offices have turnovers in excess of £300,000 pa and our best franchisee had a combined turnover in 2010 in excess of £900,000!
You do not need previous experience to become a Belvoir franchise owner. Indeed, we think that a lack of experience can even be an advantage as we are able to teach you Belvoir’s proven business formula without you perhaps being influenced by previous, less successful ideas.
As a Belvoir franchise owner you will be provided with extensive training, beginning with an initial three-week residential course that provides you with the information you need to run your business. Industry experts and skilled professionals deliver the training modules and ensure that you are confident in the various aspects of property management. As well as our three-week induction course we also provide a series of one-day courses and webinars, designed to extend the skills of new and existing staff. Premises
Our dedicated premises team can help you find the best outlet available, brand it to perfection and set you up so that you are ready to launch your new business. The premise team will help you every step of the way to ensure your premises doesnt become a headache.
Belvoir will work with you to help find a high-profile office or shop that best suits your budget and requirements. Our Premises Coordinator, Emma Greenfield, will help you source suitable accommodation, and if required, can act as a middle-man between you and the landlord, ensuring that all shop fittings and signage conform to brand standard.
Emma explains: “Belvoir has spent many years building its reputation on customer service and strong national branding. Part of this profile is securing a prominent location. The landlord likes to see this presence, feels comforted by the real commitment that a shop shows and uses this as part of the decision-making process when selecting an agent to look after their most valuable asset.”
Ongoing training
Belvoir places strong emphasis on business development, which is why Belvoir franchise owners and their staff also have access to 50 additional training modules throughout the year. These courses are invaluable in helping to keep your knowledge up to date, and will also improve the skills and motivation of your staff.

A series of on-line training webinars have also been introduced, where participants can undergo training from the comfort of their own offices, following a series of web-based programmes. This makes Belvoir’s training convenient, inexpensive and highly accessible.

After a 22-year military career Paul Collins launched Belvoir Lincoln in 1996, becoming Belvoir’s fourth franchise owner. Paul’s award winning business has gone from strength-to strength and in 2009 he won the Belvoir Lifetime Contribution Award.
